For the old style valve, use part 272-5. Both include a built-in float mechanism.

This is a common part to fail on the Equifount models. If you are having issues with your waterer not shutting off and/or overflowing, we recommend first checking for any leaks, then replacing this part.

There are multiple potential causes of damage to the valve that would require replacement, some common ones are:

• Frost in the waterer
• Hard water
• Physical impact to the waterer
• Long periods without use
